Report: Agents of ‘top-class’ PL star travel for talks with Arsenal
Arsenal have held talks with the agent of Youri Tielemans at London Colney as the Gunners consider a potential move for the Leicester City star, .
Tielemans has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. The 24-year-old has scored five goals for the Foxes this term. And of course, it was his goal that won Brendan Rodgers’ side the FA Cup last season.
Leicester are facing a fight to keep the Belgian. Goal reports that he has entered the final 18 months of his contract at the King Power Stadium. He is not expected to sign a new deal.
And that appears to have alerted Arsenal. that they have held talks with his representatives. It is claimed that he is unlikely to move anywhere this month. However, Mikel Arteta’s men feel that they have a chance of luring him to the Emirates in the summer.

Arsenal’s record in the transfer market has improved dramatically over the last 12 months. Several of their signings have proved to be inspired additions. And they each have room to improve further.
But landing Tielemans would arguably be the club’s best deal yet under the current regime. The midfielder is one of the brightest talents in Europe.
He has been linked with so many of the continent’s heavyweights. . And just a few months ago, it would have seemed almost laughable had Arsenal been linked.
Now however, the Gunners could well be in the mix. They have shown that they have the desire to compete with many clubs when it comes to spending. They are reportedly prepared to pay more than £70 million for Dusan Vlahovic.
And they are making a lot of progress under Arteta.
It would still surprise many if Tielemans left Leicester for Arsenal. But with talks reportedly held, anyone wanting to laugh the rumours off may have to prepare themselves to be left with egg on their face.
