Report: Adrian wants to join La Liga club once Liverpool contract expires in summer
Liverpool’s Adrian is already reportedly planning for life after Anfield, with his contract on Merseyside expiring at the end of this season.
, the goalkeeper’s Reds deal runs out this summer and he’s looking at possible destinations for next season.
It is explained that the 34-year-old wants to make a return to La Liga.
The report states that Spanish top-flight club Real Betis are the club he’d prefer to join, and there is a chance they may need a second-choice goalkeeper.
If Adrian does end up joining Betis, it wold be a return to one of his former clubs.
He spent a large chunk of his senior career with Premier League rivals West Ham, but he’s been a fringe figure since he joined Liverpool in 2019.
The Spanish shot-stopper has only made just six first-team appearances this season, so it’ll be no surprise to see him exit when his deal expires this summer.

TBR’s View:
Adrian will be remembered fondly for heroics in the UEFA Super Cup final back in 2019, but in truth he was a somewhat dodgy understudy to regular number one Alisson Becker.
Caoimhin Kelleher has now taken the gloves in Jurgen Klopp’s squad as the number two goalkeeper.
Some like having an experienced goalkeeper in reserve to call upon, but having a promising talent like 22-year-old Kelleher can prove effective as well and he’ll learn so much shadowing Alisson.
