Report: 48-year-old who Jose Mourinho thinks does ‘fantastic work’ would like to be Wolves’ next manager
The Wolverhampton Wanderers management job has been vacant for ten days now.
Plenty of candidates have been linked with the role, but no permanent appointment appears to be close.
They believe that former manager Nuno Espirito Santo would be keen on taking the Wolves job.

Nuno was originally appointed manager at Molineux in 2017, and oversaw the club’s return to the Premier League.
He continued to progress with the club, and lead Wolves to the Europa League the following season.
The Portuguese was hired by Tottenham before the start of the 2021/22 season, but enjoyed a torrid stint in north London.
He was sacked after four months, before taking the job at Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia in the summer.
Nuno keen on Wolves job
Nuno turned his Wolves side into an established Premier League outfit while at the club.
Fellow Portuguese Jose Mourinho hailed the job he did at Molineux, saying he had ‘fantastic work’.
The relationship between Nuno and chairman Jeff Shi wasn’t the best when Nuno left the club last year.
However,
Nuno isn’t the only person previously associated with Wolves to be linked with the job.

Former defender Rob Edwards has also been interviewed over possibly taking the role.
Edwards was sacked by Watford last month, but has been in the market for a new job already.
Given Nuno’s familiarity with many members of the squad and the club as a whole, it would be a relatively seamless transition if he was appointed.
It’s clear to see why Nuno would be keen to return to Wolves in the Premier League.
However, the club appear in no rush to make a decision,
