Report: £40m-rated Premier League star eyed by Newcastle wants permanent exit, after manager talks
Dean Henderson wants to leave Manchester United permanently after talks over his future – with Newcastle United keen.
Henderson, 24, has managed just one senior appearance for Manchester United this season. He has even played for the Under-23’s twice.
Initial reports from state that Manchester United were willing to let Henderson go on loan – with Newcastle looking to secure an 18-month loan.
However, the new report from 90Min’s Graeme Bailey states that United are looking to tie David De Gea down to a longer deal. His contract ends in 2023.
That has left Henderson in the dark. Solskjaer has told him he can go on loan, but Henderson has other ideas. He wants to leave permanently.
have reported at the start of 2021 that United would want a fee of £40million for the ex-Sheffield United loanee.
also state that Newcastle and the club’s new owners are ‘very keen’ on luring England international Henderson to Tyneside.

Henderson to Newcastle: £40m for Manchester United star a no-brainer
While it is a lot of money, what it does do is secure a problem position for Newcastle for the considerable future – 10 years or even more.
Martin Dubravka, Karl Darlow and Freddie Woodman are fighting to start. While all are good goalkeepers, they are a level below Henderson.
Henderson has scope to go two or three levels above the current trio, too. If given the necessary game time and allowed to develop his huge potential.
So, £40million to solve a problem position and give Newcastle a crucial ingredient for their rise up the table makes utter sense – in Henderson.
