Fonseca and his backroom team have point to prove after Spurs’ managerial search

It seems fair to say that Tottenham’s managerial search did not go exactly to plan.

They were linked with a host of names. Mauricio Pochettino and Antonio Conte were amongst those heavily linked with the post.

Fonseca seemed to only come into the reckoning after Spurs went down a number of dead-ends.

He therefore, has something of a point to prove.

Certainly, he may feel that he may have to do a little better as some may have their doubts about how convinced Daniel Levy was about appointing him in the first place.
