£32m Tottenham player now wants to terminate his contract after being completely frozen out by Ange Postecoglou
While most would consider the Ange Postecoglou era at Tottenham a success so far, it’s not been the case for every player under the Australian.
Postecoglou is a popular figure both among his players and Spurs fans, while pundits generally enjoy the Aussie’s honesty in interviews as well.
Of course, one of Postecoglou’s top attributes is his man-management skills and how he gets the best out of the players at his disposal.
Unfortunately though, Postecoglou is also ruthless with some of his decision making and that’s left some Spurs players frozen out.
And one of those players, despite costing £32m, is now planning to rip his contract up.

Sergio Reguilon wants Tottenham to end his contract in January
According to a report from , Spanish international Sergio Reguilon is fed up his time at Tottenham and now plans on leaving for good.
Reguilon has spent time on loan with both Manchester United and Brentford in England recently, while he’s also had a season back in Spain.
Tottenham splashed around on the left-back back in 2020 but after initially playing a starring role, he was gradually moved down the pecking order under Antonio Conte.
Ange Postecoglou has continued to not use Reguilon as well, meaning the Spaniard is at somewhat of a crossroads in his career.
Reguilon will now ask Spurs to terminate his deal and ensure that he finally gets a permanent switch.
Reguilon needs to move on quickly
Some players simply reach the end of their time with a club and for Sergio Reguilon, it very much looks like that time has come.
For the Spanish star, a move to somewhere where he’s playing regularly will be exactly what he wants but quite who takes the punt, is another question.
Right now, Reguilon will likely have his agent working overtime on sorting something out and with Daniel Levy known as a tough negotiator, there’s a chance his termination request is turned down.
Reguilon, then, might need to be patient and could even end up sitting this one out until the summer.
