Report: 29-year-old Everton player could now leave in last few hours of the transfer window
There could be plenty of movement at Everton in the final hours of the transfer window.
As well as incomings, Frank Lampard will also be looking to shift several players out of the squad.

The 29-year-old has only been included on the bench once by Lampard this season.
is not in Lampard’s plans and now wants a move abroad.
The report doesn’t name the club chasing Gomes, although Roma have previously been linked.
Gomes has made 100 appearances in his time at Goodison Park, scoring two goals.
The Portuguese has struggled with injuries in his time at Everton, twice missing long stretches of matches.
He’s struggled to find his best form under Lampard, and is now considered surplus to requirements.
Gomes could leave Everton
Everton have already brought in one central midfielder this summer, with Amadou Onana signing from Lille.
Idrissa Gueye is also on the verge of re-joining Everton, and this gives Lampard plenty of midfield options.
Gueye might not be the only midfielder signing on deadline day, with James Garner also potentially close to move.
All of these moves make it much easier for Everton to let Gomes leave today.

Gomes has always struggled for consistency in his time at Everton.
He lost his place in the Portugal squad just before arriving on loan back in 2018.
Gomes’ performances haven’t earned him a recall, and with a World Cup on the horizon, a move could give him an outside shot of a call-up.
Any move could still fall through, but right now if looks like Gomes has played his last Everton.
