Report: 24-year-old in Tottenham matchday squad on Sunday has not travelled to face Mura
Steven Bergwijn has not travelled to Slovenia with the Tottenham Hotspur squad as Antonio Conte prepares his side to face Mura in the Europa Conference League, .
Bergwijn is one of the only Spurs players yet to feature in any of Conte’s first three games in charge. He was an unused substitute against Vitesse, Everton and Leeds United at the weekend.

It had appeared that the international break had provided the 24-year-old with a much-needed boost in confidence. He scored and provided an assist while away with The Netherlands.
And having been on the bench at the weekend, Spurs fans may have expected Bergwijn to play some part on Thursday.
However, Bergwijn’s wait for a chance under Conte looks set to continue. that they understand that the forward has not travelled with the squad to take on Mura.

Interestingly, the report does not provide a reason for his absence. That will certainly fuel the speculation regarding Bergwijn’s situation at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham fans may fear Bergwijn absence from squad is ominous sign for forward under Conte
Bergwijn is a player who has only shown glimpses of his potential in North London.
Four goals and nine assists in 60 appearances is an underwhelming return for a player who was one of the Eredivisie’s most exciting talents before he joined Tottenham.
Another injury would be hugely disappointing. He, unfortunately, has had to deal with a number of knocks during his time in England.
There is a chance that Conte has not yet been overly impressed by Bergwijn.
But perhaps the Tottenham boss has decided to keep him fresh for Sunday and the clash with Burnley in the Premier League.
It would be a surprise if Conte had given any consideration to writing Bergwijn off already.
On his day, Bergwijn looks to have the potential to be a devastating option for Spurs.
But for many, Thursday would have represented an opportunity to give him minutes. And that may be the worry with Bergwijn set to play no part.
