Report: £23m playmaker willing to join Arsenal this month, he’s versatile and ‘great quality’
Reported Arsenal target Julian Brandt is reportedly willing to join the Gunners this month, according to .
The Emirates Stadium side is said to be pursuing a creative attacking midfielder in the January transfer window.
One of the most widely mentioned players linked with Arsenal in recent days is Emiliano Buendia, who currently plays for Norwich in the Championship.
However, Borussia Dortmund midfielder Brandt has also reportedly been earmarked as a player who could bolster the Gunners’ creativity department.

And according to , not only is the 24-year-old willing to join Arsenal, but the Bundesliga side has placed a €25million (around £23million) price tag on their player.
This suggests that, rather than playing hardball with Brandt, they could be willing to do business with any potential suitors.
Earlier this week, BVB chief Michael Zorc was quoted by as saying: “My years of activity have taught me that I don’t rule anything out at the beginning of a transfer period.”
TBR View:
Although Brandt hasn’t had a particularly fruitful season this time round, his quality was on show last season as he registered 13 assists and seven goals from 42 games in all competitions.
This term, Mahmoud Dahoud and Jude Bellingham have shined in deeper roles, while Marco Reus and Giovanni Reyna are impressing further up the field in attack.
Despite his lack of game time this term, Brandt is a high-calibre player who, in Lucien Favre’s , “is able to play many different positions in different systems. That shows great quality.”
With Arsenal needing more creativity, he seems like a good shout – and a realistic option – for Mikel Arteta.
