Report: 22-time champions to contact Aston Villa over struggling player who has ‘many suitors’
Aston Villa midfielder Trezeguet is believed to be the subject of interest from Turkish giants Galatasaray, according to a report in .
The Egypt international became the Villa Park outfit’s ninth summer signing last year, joining from Turkish club Kasimpasa in an £8.75million deal ().
Despite scoring the winner which sent Dean Smith’s side into the League Cup final, his overall time at Villa Park hasn’t been the most fruitful.

Trezeguet has made just 13 Premier League starts this season and was an unused substitute for Villa’s last game before the football suspension, a 4-0 loss to Leicester.
Turkish outlet claims that Galatasaray are going to contact the B6 club “in a short time” regarding a possible move for the 25-year-old, who reportedly has “many suitors”.

Trezeguet is a high-calibre player with top-level experience, including the , the , but sadly his time at Villa Park has been far from fruitful.
His contract takes him to the summer of 2023 but if Villa are relegated, it’s unlikely he’ll want to ply his trade in the second tier of English football, and with seemingly plenty of suitors, the club could well look to recoup some money for him and get him off the wage bill.
