Report: 21-year-old punished by Jesse Marsch after losing in Leeds United training drill, forced to wash teammate’s car
Leeds United midfielder Brenden Aaronson was punished by boss Jesse Marsch after losing a training drill, .
The 21-year-old only made the switch to Elland Road this summer from Austrian outfit Red Bull Salzburg.
Aaronson is no stranger to Marsch’s methods as the pair worked together briefly at Salzburg before the boss moved to RB Leipzig.
But he will have surely been surprised when he found himself washing Tyler Adams’ car as a punishment for losing a team training drill.

Aaronson forced to wash teammate’s car
.
The United States international was the last player at the training ground after all his teammates had left.
And the former Salzburg man was forced to stay behind and wash Adams’ car with a sponge.
It’s certainly a bizarre punishment from Marsch to get Aaronson to clean one of his teammate’s cars.
Adams would have definitely seen the funny side to it though, with his national teammate being forced to give his car a wash.
The pair have both played under the Leeds boss before so they may not be as taken aback as others will be by Marsch’s unique punishments.

But luckily for Leeds, it doesn’t seem to have affected Aaronson too much as the midfielder has got off to an excellent start at Elland Road.
The United States international scored his first goal of the season against Chelsea on Sunday and was ‘everywhere’ as the Whites ran out 3-0 winners. And this came just four days after he was washing Adams’ car at Thorp Arch.
Maybe Marsch’s bizarre punishments are paying off for the midfielder as he will be keen to not find himself washing cars again anytime soon.
Whatever the Leeds boss is doing, it seems to be working for his players. The Whites have now won two out of their three opening Premier League games and remain unbeaten.
