defender Josip Juranovic is keen on a move to Celtic this summer. The report says that Celtic are in talks to land Croatia’s Euro 2020 defender with a bargain fee of just £2.5million needed. Celtic failed in their attempts to get Yan Couto on loan, and have now turned to Juranovic.
Couto was even invited to Parkhead last week to taste the atmosphere as Celtic eased past the Czech side 3-0. But a move to Portuguese side Braga looks promising. Celtic are now targeting Juranovic, who appeared twice for Croatia at Euro 2020 – including a match against Spain in the last 16.
Joining Legia Warsaw from Hajduk Split last summer, the 10-time Croatia international played 32 times in 2020-21 – laying on eight assists. Now, Legia are keen to cash in after missing out on Champions League qualification. The report states Juranovic himself is ‘keen’ on a move to Glasgow.

Juranovic a wonderful Celtic signing, but harsh on Ralston?
It is a cruel world, is football. Anthony Ralston has finally got a consistent run in the side. He has been excellent under the guidance of Ange Postecoglou. But it appears Celtic are intent on signing a right-back. The likely addition of Juranovic will see Ralston drop out of the Celtic side.
For just £2.5million, Juranovic is a real bargain. Goals, assists, but also defensively solid – and good enough for the Croatia Euro 2020 side. Ralston has done enough to show he has a future at Celtic in his seven outings this season, but will have to be happy as back-up to Juranovic.
