Report: £120k-a-week Everton ace wanted by 3-time champions, he’s looking to move

Everton defender Yerry Mina has emerged as a transfer target for Roma, according to .

The Toffees centre-back’s contract at Goodison Park comes to an end this season.

Mina has barely featured over the past two seasons at Everton due to injuries.

The 28-year-old clocked up just 923 minutes of action last term amid hamstring and thigh issues.

And this season, Mina only featured in the opening game of the Premier League season.

He suffered ankle ligament damage in the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea and has missed almost three months of action.

Everton have since signed Conor Coady, who has formed an impressive partnership with James Tarkowski.

With Mina effectively surplus to requirements and with an expiring contract, there’s a good chance he won’t be an Everton player for much longer.

‘Change of scenery’

– via – has claimed that Mina is an option for Roma if they fail to land Evan Ndicka.

Should negotiations for the Eintracht Frankfurt ace ‘become complicated’, there are other names that could suit Jose Mourinho.

Everton’s Mina is one such option for the three-time Serie A champions, said the report.

The Colombia international apparently wants ‘a change of scenery’ so he can get regular football elsewhere.

Calcio Dangolo suggest he could potentially ‘find the right spirit’ under Mourinho to get his career back on track.

And with Everton having ‘no intention’ of renewing Mina’s contract, they’d be willing to sell in January.

Doing so would see them recoup some money, but if they keep him until the summer, he’d leave for free.

Dean Jones recently said on GiveMeSport that Mina’s representatives may be ‘looking at potential exit routes.’

By the sounds of it, Mina doesn’t want to stay at Everton for much longer, while the Toffees want to move him on.

So there’s a good chance Jose Mourinho can land the player in January.
