Report: £11.5m Spurs player wanted by clubs at home and abroad – but he’s decided he’s keen to stay

Clubs chasing Jack Clarke may be set for disappointment that the winger wants to stay at Tottenham and fight for a chance next season.

Clarke has not had the easiest time since his from Leeds. At the time, he was considered one of the most exciting talents in the Championship.

However, a subsequent loan spell back at Elland Road ended early over a lack of game-time. And he hardly played much more after heading to QPR shortly after.

He did show more during the second-half of last season, on loan at Stoke. But it is obviously quite the step up now he is back with his parent club.

It was recently reported that he was attracting a lot of attention. And interestingly, Nuno Espirito Santo is reportedly keen to take a look at the 20-year-old before making a decision on his future.

that he is wanted by clubs at home and abroad. But they add that the wide-man is keen to stay and fight for a chance.

Clarke has potential to excite Tottenham fans, but wanting to stay may be gamble

It may surprise some that Clarke is hoping to stay put. He has unfortunately struggled to prove himself out on loan.

Perhaps, that may actually be the reason for his reluctance to head off again. It looks to be a crucial period in the youngster’s career, so joining the wrong club could be extremely harmful.

But it could be a gamble to look to stay. He is unlikely to play as often as he would out on loan.

Having said that, he has serious potential. And his style of play means that it may only take one or two inspired performances to really catch the eye.

Once that momentum is going again, Clarke could be a superb talent. And Nuno may appreciate the brave decision of wanting to stick around.
