‘Reminds me of Wilshere’: Some Arsenal fans wowed by Hale End star’s latest display
Some Arsenal fans have waxed lyrical about Charlie Patino’s performance for the Gunners Under-23s on Friday.
Arsenal’s U23s bounced back from their West Ham defeat with a 4-2 victory over Crystal Palace at Meadow Park.
Omari Hutchinson was in inspired form as he scored a superb brace for Kevin Betsy’s charges.

Mika Biereth and Zak Swanson also opened their U23s accounts, while Miguel Azeez missed a penalty.
Meanwhile, Palace netted through Jack Roles and Nya Kirby, and finished the game with ten men due to Scott Banks’ two yellow cards.
While Hutchinson was understandably in the spotlight for his two goals, many of Arsenal’s youngsters earned rave reviews.
One of those was Patino, who was very impressive in the middle of the park and pulled the strings for his side.

Despite being just 17, he showcased his passing range, technique, vision and creativity throughout the game, and went for goal himself a few times.
Plenty of Arsenal fans were impressed by Patino’s efforts, taking to Twitter to sing his praises:
I really really really like Charlie Patino, always looked a level above both technically and tactically whenever I watched him.

That left foot of his reminds me of Liam Brady, and please believe me when I say, there is no higher compliment.

Remember the name "Charlie Patino"…Absolute gem❤️😍

Charlie Patino is easily better than elneny and so many players at the club. So calm on the ball and can beat a man at a flick of a switch. Under pressure he is able to break his way out and he has a wand of a left peg. Would love to see him and Omari against West Brom.
