‘Remarkable’: Arsene Wenger blown away by Tottenham player at the World Cup
Arsenal icon Arsene Wenger has praised Tottenham and England talisman Harry Kane ahead of tomorrow’s clash with France.
Kane has three assists and a goal to his name in Qatar and will be hoping to lead his country into the World Cup semi-finals this weekend.
Wenger gave an interview to French outlet ahead of the crunch quarter-final clash and spoke about the Three Lions skipper.

Wenger on Kane
He said: “Kane is a bit like Benzema, a kind of forward-number 10 mix. The speed at which he analyses, his perception of the game and of space is remarkable.
“I knew him [while managing Arsenal] as a forward who would generate space, who would get in the defender’s face!
“Nowadays, even if he plays more as a playmaker, Kane is still extremely dangerous because he gets his shots away quickly. And he gets them on target, they don’t go in the stands.”
There is so much talk about Kylian Mbappe in the lead up to this game and how England can keep him quiet with Kyle Walker, and which formation to use.
Kane is a world star who is still waiting for his maiden trophy and he will be relishing the opportunity to grab the spotlight away from Mbappe tomorrow night.
He is capable of dropping into space to set England’s other attackers away into space and as Wenger said, when he gets a chance, it is almost always on target and often in the back of the net.
This is just a big a moment for him as it is for Mbappe and if he is not getting the media coverage before the game, that will suit him and he can grab the moment when it comes his way.
