Reguilon and Dier laud Bergwijn in reaction to forward’s hat-trick
Eric Dier, Sergio Reguilon and Japhet Tanganga have all lauded Steven Bergwijn in reaction to the former Tottenham Hotspur forward’s stunning hat-trick for Ajax on Sunday.
Antonio Conte’s men sent out a message to some of their Premier League rivals at the weekend. They came from behind on two occasions to earn a point against Chelsea.

But Sunday also proved to be a significant day for one player they sold in the summer. Bergwijn was making only his second league appearance for Ajax following his switch in the window.
And he reminded everyone of the quality he possesses. The 24-year-old bagged a stunning hat-trick in an emphatic 6-1 win against Groningen.

Bergwijn had completed his treble by the hour mark and was substituted 10 minutes later. The result leaves the forward as the leading goalscorer in the Eredivisie after two games.
Unsurprisingly, Bergwijn wanted to take to Instagram to comment on the result and hat-trick. And a few of his old Tottenham teammates were quick to respond.

Fortunately for Tottenham, there is little need for a debate over whether they made the right decision letting Bergwijn go. The squad looks to be much stronger this season. And they have made a promising start to the campaign.
Bergwijn left Spurs after scoring just seven Premier League goals in 60 games. He is already almost halfway to that tally after two appearances in Amsterdam.
He is obviously a fantastic player. But it seemed to be the wrong move for Tottenham. So his permanent move back to The Netherlands clearly has the potential to work out for all concerned.
