Report: Everton could loan Moise Kean back to Juventus

Everton are reportedly considering loaning Moise Kean back to Juventus after a difficult first season for the Italian striker.

Kean arrived at Goodison Park a year ago to much fanfare after starring in the second half of 2018/19 for the Old Lady.

The Toffees forked out £27.5 million to sign Kean (), but he failed to get going under Marco Silva.

Things didn’t get much better during Duncan Ferguson’s temporary stint, with the Scot hauling him off at Old Trafford just minutes after putting him on as a substitute.

He finished the season under the guidance of Carlo Ancelotti, would much preferred the likes of Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin through the middle.

Everton are thinking of letting Kean – who has scored just two goals for his new club – go back to his homeland to rediscover his mojo.

There could be opportunities in Turin, with Gonzalo Higuain’s contract having been terminated and Paulo Dybala said to be unfancied by new manager Andrea Pirlo.

TBR’s View – Loan could suit Kean

Kean – on around £53,000-a-week () – really didn’t have the best of debut seasons.

He made mistakes, but he also has reason to feel a bit hard done by. Ferguson’s decision would no doubt have been difficult to take.

Kean has amazing potential, but if he is to realise it on Merseyside then he perhaps needs to go elsewhere first in order to regain some confidence.
