Reds legend John Aldridge insists Liverpool duo have points to prove
Liverpool are starting to get into their stride in 2020/21, having had to contend with a host of injury problems.
The Reds are now breathing down the neck of Tottenham Hotspur at the top of the Premier League table, and are into the last 16 of the Champions League.

Games are coming thick and fast, and Jurgen Klopp will likely be making full use of his squad to manage players’ fitness.
There are going to be chances for some of the fringe players, and Aldridge has picked out two who need to take their opportunities.
: “Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi have both got points to prove to themselves as much as anybody and could do with grasping the opportunity if it’s handed to them again.

“Origi at the moment looks miles off the player he can be and Minamino has shown some nice touches here and there but needs to start delivering goals and assists to show he can be a viable option for the manager.”
There’s a good chance both Minamino and Origi will be starting for the Reds in their final Champions League group stage game against Midtjylland tomorrow night, with qualification already secured.
TBR’s View – A big month for Origi
With the winter transfer window just around the corner, December is a big month for Belgian forward Origi.

He’ll always be loved at the club for his exploits in the Champions League in 2018/19, and also his goals against Everton, but there are question marks against his quality and consistency.
It’s important he takes the chances he gets with both hands if he wants to stay at Anfield.
