‘Really good play’… Jamie Carragher hails 24-year-old Aston Villa player v Arsenal
Aston Villa attacker Moussa Diaby earned praise from Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher in their Premier League meeting with Arsenal on Saturday.
In the 68th minute of the match, the 24-year-old Villans ace latched onto a꧑ long ball, beating William Saliba for pace before squaring for Ollie Watkins.
Although David Raya kept out and held the Villa striker’s powerful low effort, Carragher st🌃ill liked and praised what he saw in the build-up.
“It’s really good play from Diaby,” Carragher said on (9/12/23, 18:56).
“H🎃e realises he can’t get the shot off, doesn’t do anything silly and tees up his team-mate.”
Diaby came on at half time for Leon Bailey, who picked up a knock aroun♉d the 28-minute mark and wasn’t able to continue after the break.
The fact Villa can bring on a player like Diaby for Bailey just shows the tremendous s༺trength in depth they have in some positions.
