‘Really good’: Kristensen says 18-year-old Leeds youngster has been so good with him since he arrived
New Leeds signing Rasmus Kristensen has been talking about which members of the squad have been helping him settle in most.
“I can speak my native language with Leo [Hjelde] and Kris [Klaesson], they’re from Norway so we can speak together”.
18-year-old Leo Hjelde only joined the club from Celtic last season, but having already made his debut on the pitch, the young Norwegian is now having an impact off it.
Kristensen will be well accustomed to moving clubs, having had spells in the Netherlands, Austria and now England is the third country outside of his native Denmark he’s moved to in his short career.
But having players to welcome you when joining a new team will always make the transition easier, and judging by Kristensen’s comments, the 25-year-old is already feeling at home at Elland Road.

The Danish international has yet to play in England, having only made appearances for the Whites on Leeds’ pre-season tour of Australia,
“Everything I was told and promised before I signed is living up to it and even more, so I’m really happy,”
The right-back will be competing with senior pro Luke Ayling for a starting role against Wolves next weekend, and his Champions League and Europa League experience might earn him the nod over the Englishman.
Jesse Marsch’s side might not be done with building their squad yet, as Manchester City’s James McAtee and Club Brugge’s Charles de Ketelaere remain on their list of targets.
