‘Really good’…Gary Neville blown away by how good £37m Liverpool player was v Tottenham today

Liverpool absolutely cruised to a win against Tottenham today as they turned up and produced in Jurgen Klopp’s second to last game at Anfield.

The German manager looked on in delight as his Liverpool team produced the sort o🃏f performan♐ce we’ve become accustomed to seeing from them over the years.

Liverpool pressed, harried, and hounded Spurs from the openi🦄ng whistle and were two up at th♍e break before scoring two more inside the opening 20 minutes of the second half to kill the game.

Goals from Mo Salah, Andy Robertson, Cody Gakpo, and Harvey Elliott had the Red♑s cruising at♓ 4-0 and the Anfield crowd were loving it.

Of course, pick✅in𓄧g out just one player in such an impressive team performance is hard.

But speaking on Sky Sports about signing Cody Gakpo after he bagged the third goal, Gary Neville found time to🍨 praise the Dutchman’s all-round performance.

Cody Gakpo impresses for Liverpool v Tottenham

Speaking on after Gakpo had nodded in for 3-0, Nev🅺ille lauded the forward.

“Emerson’s day just got a lot worse! Gakpo has been really good today. He got up early but he stillꦗ♑ had a lot to do. To get the power on the header and into the corner is really good,” Neville said.

Gakpo proving himself at Liverpool

It’s not been t🎃he most prolific of seasons for Cody Gakpo but🎀 at just 24, he is gradually improving and playing his way into being a great squad player for Liverpool.

Despite not getting a bucket load of goals, the Dutchman has managed an impressive enough 14 goalꦛs in all competitions and crucially, he’s made himself available and🅰 played 50 games this term.

That is the sign of a player wไho has a durability to him to contribute to the cause and Liverpool will be happy going into next season knowing they have a player like that.

Gakpo’s perfoꦏrmance today was, to the naked eye anyway, one of his better in ꦑLiverpool red.

💎More of the same next season, and the Reds might well be able to avoid dipping into the m♕arket for another new forward.
