‘Really good’: Antonio Conte names the one Tottenham player who seriously impressed him at the World Cup
Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has named Harry Kane as the player who really impressed him at the World Cup.
Kane’s campaign with Englandꦇ ended on a bitter note for the Spurs talisman after he missed a crucial penalty in the qu🦄arter-final.
Gareth Southgate’s men fell to a 2-1 defeat to eventual ꦍfinalists France after goals from Aurelien Tchouameni and Olivier Giroud proved to be the difference between the sides.
Kane managed to convert♕ his first spot-kick of tওhe game emphatically as he beat his club teammate Hugo Lloris from 12-yards out. But the 29-year-old couldn’t repeat the trick to level the game up in the 83rd minute and blazed his effort over the crossbar.

Despite his heart꧟breaking miss, Kane put in some impressive displays for England throughout the tournament and managed to score twice, while providing three assists.
And as Conte looked aꦉhead to his side’s friendly against Nice tonight, a𝕴s well as their return to Premier League action on Boxing Day, he has praised his striker for his displays in Qatar.
Conte on Kane
Conte was 𒊎asked about how difficult it will be to manage the players who are returning from the World Cup.
There will be mixed emotions at Hotspur Way, with Cristian Romero lifting the World Cup at Hugo Lloris’ expense and of course, Kane will be gutted after missing a c꧙rucial penalty.
But Conte feels the England captain performed well at the tou🐷rnament, despite his penalty agony.
“For Harry, he 🧸missed the penalty but I think he played a really good World Cup,” .
“For sure you have to try and put to one side, this experience. Our experience is very imporౠtant but you have to know that now is the time to start to think again about Tottenham and do your best.”

Kane will undoubtedly feel the p🎉ain from this ye✅ar’s World Cup exit for a long time but he has shown in the past that he’s capable of dealing with setbacks.
The Tottenham star has missed out on major trophies in t🦋he past and manage⛄d to bounce back immediately.
Conte will be hoping his talisman is in the right frame of mind to feature in their clash a💃gainst Brentford on Boxing Day.
Spurs will be aiming to kick-off t🧸he second-half of their campaign with a win against🗹 their London rivals as they go about securing their place in the Champions League next season.
