‘Really exciting’ Tottenham player is closing in on return from injury

Tottenham Hotspur winger Manor Solomon is reportedly edging closer to a return from a long-term injury.

The Spurs summer signing has been sidelined since the start of October after suffering a meniscus injury to his right knee in training.

Solomon required surgery for his injury, and has missed out on over three months of football for Spurs.

However, according to the , the 24-year-old is hoping to be back in Tottenham first-team training next week.

Solomon is reportedly targeting a return to action in the FA Cup fourth-round tie against Manchester City at the end of the month.

The Israel international’s impending return to action is a major boost for Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou.

The Tottenham manager is currently without Son Heung-min, who is playing for South Korea at the Asian Cup.

Meanwhile, Ivan Perisic remains on the sidelines, and is not expected to play for Spurs again before his contract expires.

Manor Solomon quickly won over new Tottenham teammates

Solomon joined Spurs on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer. He made six appearances, including three starts, before his injury.

The 24-year-old didn’t take long to impress his new teammates and coaches at Hotspur Way.

“He’s already fitting into the squad,” Postecoglou told during pre-season. “He is another one who is really exciting.

“He’s definitely won over his team-mates with his ability and what he’s doing in training. He’s an exciting young player and another one of that group.”

Sadly, we haven’t been able to see too much of Solomon due to his injury, but it’ll be exciting to see how he fares once he makes his return.

Last season, Solomon was on loan at Fulham and sadly a knee injury caused him to miss the first half of the campaign, but he impressed in the second half.

Hopefully that’ll be the case now that 2024 is upon us and the player is returning to fitness.
