Arsenal have signed him in a deal worth around in total.

Odegaard left a good impression on Arsenal fans during his short-term loan last year as he looked to add some extra creativity further up the pitch.

The attacking midfielder ended up with two goals and two assists in 20 appearances across all competition for them. However, there should be much more to come from the talented youngster.

Parlour believes that adding more goals to his game is something he needs to work on.

“What he’s got to improve on is goals. He played 14 league games last season and scored one goal, so his numbers have got to be a little bit better when you play in that position,” Parlour told .

Odegaard signing makes sense

Arsenal’s business in the transfer window is dividing opinions, but Odegaard looks a shrewd addition. He may also turn out to be good value for money.

He was a wonderkid at a young age when Madrid signed him and that came with a lot of pressure.

A permanent move to a new home could be the making of the left-footed playmaker, so we may see him really kick on now.

Mikel Arteta’s philosophy of using youngsters is in full flow. Odegaard should be able to hit the ground running in familiar surroundings.
