Ray Parlour has previously hailed Arsenal-linked striker Raul Jimenez
Arsenal reportedly have Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez on a transfer shortlist ahead of the summer window and their club legend Ray Parlour has previously given him high praise this season.
French publication claim that the 29-year-old is being eyed by the Gunners in case they lose either Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette amid uncertainty about their futures.
The report explains that Italian giants Juventus are keen on the Wolves centre-forward, but Arsenal are in the mix too for the Premier League marksman.
Jimenez has played a mammoth 52 games across all competitions this season for Wolves, which is a real credit to his stamina due to the domestic and European competitions his side are in.
The Mexican has managed 26 goals and 10 assists in return, plus he’s one of the most all-round attackers in the Premier League.
Former Gunners midfielder Parlour was majorly impressed by him earlier in the campaign.
“Going forward they (Wolves) are very good and Jimenez has been brilliant. I really like him,”

TBR View – Jimenez is the real deal
Jimenez is a player that looks to be at the peak of his powers and he’s proven to be a perfect fit for the Premier League, after spending time earlier in his career playing in Mexico, Spain and Portugal.
Arsenal should look to keep hold of their two senior forwards Aubameyang or Lacazette if possible, but if they needed to sign someone that could hit the ground running at the Emirates Stadium the Wolves talisman would be a safe bet.
He was signed by Wolves for £30million () from Benfica and that has proven to be a genius piece of business.
