Raul Jimenez showers praise on much improved Wolves winger Adama Traore

Adama Traore is coming in for praise left, right and centre following his bright start to 2019/20 at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

His brace means he’s already got more goals this term than in the whole of 2018/19, and the improvement in the player’s game has been evident.

Something appears to have clicked with Traore, suggesting that Premier League full-backs ought to watch out.

One man who’s delighted for Traore is Jimenez, who has had the chance to play in a strike partnership with the £18 million signing from Middlesbrough () on occasion this season.

Speaking about his brilliant performance against City, the  Mexican – who signed for the club permanently for £30 million this summer () – said (): “He deserved it. He is a very good player. Last year, it was difficult for him, but this year, I think he is doing well and doing great things now.

“I think he deserved this. Last year, it was for him to learn how to defend, how to use his pace. This year, I think he is doing great things.”

TBR’s view

Traore sounds like a popular figure behind the scenes at Wolves, with captain Conor Coady having branded him ‘a brilliant lad’ after the City result ().

It is therefore nice to see him finally showing some good form for the Black Country club.

Traore has the potential to become one of the most exciting players to watch in the whole league given the blistering pace he has been blessed with, and one has to imagine Nuno Espirito Santo will be giving him more time on the pitch to achieve that going forwards.
