Raul Jimenez posts on Twitter after £32.6m move, some Wolves fans react

Raul Jimenez has posted on Twitter after Wolverhampton Wanderers exercised the permanent clause in his loan-to-buy contract – to which defender Jonny and delighted fans have reacted to his comments.

The 27-year-old was considered a major coup by many when he joined Wolves on loan from Benfica last summer. With 69 Mexico appearances to his name and 120 appearances for Benfica, it looked promising.

It has indeed turned out that way. Jimenez has scored 15 goals in all competitions – 12 of which have come in the Premier League – as well as adding eight assists in 37 league and cup appearances.

that Wolves have paid a whopping £32.6million to make Jimenez their club-record signing. Jimenez, who even has his own song, posted on Twitter after the move was confirmed.

Jimenez has been on fire for Wolves. Arguably one of the signings of the season, he has scored against both Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea in the league twice. He has three FA Cup goals too, helping Wolves reach the semis.

Wolves fans reacted on Twitter to the news that Jimenez has completed a permanent move to Molineux. Many are obviously delighted that their talisman is staying at Wolves until the summer of 2023.
