Raul Jimenez backed for Chelsea move by club legend despite Spurs and Manchester United links
Former Chelsea midfielder, Craig Burley, has backed Wolves striker Raul Jimenez for a summer move to Chelsea, despite interest from both Spurs and Manchester United.
The ex-Scottish international was about potential summer activity at his old club.

The Blues are expected to be busy in the market after seeing their transfer ban lifted recently. And Burley, who played over 100 times for Chelsea, believes Wolves star Jimenez would be an ideal signing.
“Chelsea are in need of a striker. Tammy Abraham has done well, but whether he can continue to do that remains to be seen,” Burley .
“Olivier Giroud will be short-term at Chelsea, so they are in the market. I think United will target a higher market, bigger name player.”
Both Spurs and Manchester United have been with an interest in Jimenez in the past. The Mexican striker has been in superb form this season,

Despite their interest, Burley believes Chelsea will be a good fit. Furthermore, he also thinks Wolves might not have an option when it comes to keeping their star talisman.
“That decision may be taken out of their hands. Raul Jimenez really is at that crux point of his career where he’s coming to an age where it’s a big, big decision. If he doesn’t make the right one now, then it comes and goes,” Burley added when discussing Wolves’ top-four hopes.
Chelsea a decent move but Wolves a rising force – TBR View
Chelsea are on course to make the top four so, of course, if Jimenez wants a crack at the Champions League then the time to strike could be now.
Wolves do only sit five points behind the Blues, so anything can still happen. It’s a tricky call for Jimenez to make, really.
On one hand, he’d get the money and probably the chance of regular Champions League football. On the other hand, Wolves are an upcoming force in the European game and Jimenez might feel he can lead the charge.
Whatever he decides, Craig Burley does make an interesting point and it’s definitely something for Wolves fans to think about over the summer.
