Rasmus Hojlund says striker Liverpool sold after just 29 games scored one of the best goals he’s ever seen

Rasmus Hojlund has scored some brilliant goals recently.

The Danish striker has been in red-hot form, and everything he seems to touches seems to turn to goals right now.

Hojlund is becoming clinical, but he’s also been scoring some absolute bangers too.

Speaking to , Hojlund has been discussing some of the best goals he’s ever seen, and he’s given a very interesting answer when asked what the best Premier League goal he can remember is.

Hojlund, strangely, picked a Liverpool goal against Manchester United as the best Premier League goal ever, stating that Christian Benteke’s strike against the Red Devils back in 2015 was one of his favourite goals.

Rasmus Hojlund says Christian Benteke’s goal is the best he’s seen

Hojlund spoke about the Liverpool striker’s goal against United.

“What’s the best Premier League goal you can remember?” Hojlund was asked.

“Best Premier League goal? The Benteke one against Manchester United, he does the bicycle, or Garnacho’s now,” Hojlund said.

Underrated

While this claim may not go down too well with Man United fans, Hojlund is spot on here.

Benteke’s goal against United is a massively underrated strike, and that’s probably due to the fact Liverpool lost 3-1 on the day and Anthony Martial’s debut goal overshadowed him a fair bit.

Benteke didn’t make all that much of an impact at Liverpool – he played just 29 league games in one season at the club before being sold on, but that bicycle kick against Manchester United was one of the best goals we’ve ever seen anyone score for Liverpool, and it probably deserves to be discussed as one of the best goals in the history of the league.

Benteke’s strike against Manchester United is perhaps the most underrated goal in Premier League history.
