Rasmus Hojlund and Scott McTominay left blown away by £80m Man United player against Villa yesterday
Erik ten Hag will surely be absolutely delighted with how his Manchester United side overcame Aston Villa away from home yesterday.
Villa Park has proved treacherous grounds for many top sides this season, something nobody seemed to tell Scott McTominay.

The midfielder netted his seventh league goal of the campaign, adding to an incredibly impressive tally considering his minutes.
For context, those seven goals put the Scot two goals ahead of the likes of Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho.
But whilst McTominay has produced one or two player of the match displays himself this season, it was Harry Maguire’s turn yesterday.
The former captain was in excellent form, proving his dominance in his aerial duels and looking an assured presence in defence.
Maguire provided the assist for Hojlund’s opener for Man United yesterday, and stood tall under some immense Villa pressure in the second half.
The took to after the game to celebrate the three points, and was deservedly lauded by his teammates.

Maguire uploaded three photos from the game with the caption: “Taking 3 points back to Manchester. Away support [fire emoji].”
Both of United’s goal-scorers, Hojlund and McTominay, replied to the post, with the former appearing to thank Maguire for the assist.

Of course, the England international is continuing to prove that he didn’t necessarily make a mistake choosing not to leave the club this summer.
Many thought Maguire was showing a lack of ambition given in a move to West Ham United for example.
But the defender was clearly confident he could still make an impact for United, as he proved against Villa yesterday.
With Lisandro Martinez now missing for the foreseeable once again, Maguire will be crucial for ten Hag over the next few months.
And whilst Bruno Fernandes will have enjoyed the defender’s performance as a whole, he was left really annoyed by one Maguire moment.
