Raphinha reacts to missing out on Brazil debut

𒐪Raphinha that he was upset to miss out on the chance to join up with the Brazil squad, but insisted that he understands Leeds United’s decision to not release him for the international break.

🐽The winger was handed his maiden call-up for the national team ahead of the most recent break. However, he was unable to link up with Tite’s men.

꧅, the Premier League clubs all initially agreed to not release players whose countries were on the UK’s red list.

﷽Those players would face a 10-day quarantine period upon their returns. And with future breaks ahead later this year, you can understand why clubs had concerns.

𒁃And it appears that Raphinha also has sympathy for Leeds. He did confess that he was disappointed to miss out. But he also he insisted that he remains happy at Elland Road.

▨: “It was a different and complicated situation because of the moment we are still living. I was upset, yes, because defending the national team is a child’s dream and who doesn’t think about it?

ꩵ“It’s no different with me, but I need to make it clear that I understand the club’s position. I’m still very happy, extremely satisfied and focused here. I’m still doing my best to help Leeds and maybe get another chance to defend my country.”
