Raphael Varane has already explained why Trent Alexander-Arnold may want to leave Liverpool for Real Madrid

Many Liverpool supporters are upset with Trent Alexander-Arnold, amid strong rumours he will join Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer.

Jamie Carragher feels fans have turned on the England internationa🍷l at Anfield after almost a decade of the Liverpool No.66 being in the first-team, as he prepares to leave the Reds f꧂or nothing.

The man from West Derby has previously spoken about wanting to become a legend at Liverpool and follow in the footsteps of icons such as Steve🥃n Gerrard – so fans may be wondering what exactly has changed.

However, a comment from Raphael Varane on why he chose to leave Real Madrid provides some insight into what Trent Alexander-Arnold may be thinking right now.

Trent Alexander-Arnold might need a “new buzz” as Raphael Varane did

It was a shocღk when the Frenchman left Real Madrid for Manchester United back in July 2021.

Varane was on track to become a Real Madrid legend after 360 appearances for Los Blancos, where he lifted four UEFA Champions League titles, won La Liga on three occasions and the FIFA Club World Cup four tim♉es, as well as many other trophies.

However, the 31-year-old simply became bored, which is how Alexander-A🍬rnold may feel after winning the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, FA Community Shield, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup with Liverpool.

Speaking on The Bridge show, Varane admitt♉ed: “It took a long time…you don’t decide that overnight. Madrid is the top. I won my fourth Champions League and it was nothing much, it was normal. Then, I won the World Cup, I needed a new buzz.”

In our view, that is likely similar to where ꦺAlexander-Arnold’s mind is at nowadays.

Liverpool could still receive a fee for Trent Alexander-Arnold

Real Madrid could hand Liverpool a☂ fee for Alexander-🐼Arnold, as the Spanish giants are keen for the Liverpudlia𝄹n to partake in the FIFA Club World Cup th♊is summer, which begins before he officially becomes a free agent.

If a༺n early deal can be arranged, it would💧 also save Liverpool from paying roughly a month of his £180,000-a-week salary.
