Ranking Wolves’ 2019 summer signings from worst to best

Wolverhampton Wanderers have enjoyed a brilliant start to 2019/20 season.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were expected to struggle with their Premier League campaign this time around due to the exertions brought about by the Europa League.

But the Black Country club have dealt with everything brilliantly so far.

Eight deals were done by the club in the summer, but how do they rank?

N/A Renat Dadashov

The 20-year-old Azerbaijani international is currently on loan at Pacos de Ferreira, where he has made eight appearances so far.

#7 Flavio Cristovao

Cristovao was signed by the club after a successful trial with the Wolves U23s.

He has played just two games in PL2, and was handed his first-team debut against Aston Villa in the EFL Cup.

#6 Bruno Jordão

Signed from Lazio along with Pedro Neto, Wolves fans haven’t been able to see much of the 17-year-old so far.

He’s made five appearances in PL2, and a couple of first-team appearances in the EFL Cup for the first-team.

Jordão suffered ankle ligament damage against Reading and likely won’t be seen in the first-team again for a while.

#5 Jesus Vallejo

It just hasn’t worked out for the Spanish defender on loan from Real Madrid.

Unfortunately, he just doesn’t look suited to Premier League football, and it would be no surprise to Wolves fans if he was recalled early by Madrid next month.

#4 Patrick Cutrone

Cutrone’s time will come at Wolves, he just has a very good player ahead of him right now in Raul Jimenez.

The Italian has shown glimpses of his talent, but fans will be hoping to see a more significant impact from him in 2020.

#3 Pedro Neto

Arrived with Jordão from Lazio and has certainly made a much bigger impact out of the pair.

Neto has shown himself to be a very lively winger capable of beating his man and putting the ball into the box.

He has four assists to his name so far, and he looks like a brilliant prospect for the future.

#2 Leander Dendoncker

Snapped up permanently after a successful loan spell last year, Dendoncker has come in very handy this year for Espirito Santo.

With Willy Boly getting injured and Vallejo struggling, the Belgian has filled in as a centre-half for the majority of the season and has looked pretty comfortable.

#1 Raul Jimenez

Wolves’ best signing by a mile.

Mexico international Jimenez became a fans’ favourite last season during his loan spell, and his popularity has only grown in 2019/20.

The 28-year-old is just a complete striker, and has made his £30 million fee () look like an absolute bargain.
