Rangers will be making enormous mistake if Luton Town sign Graeme Shinnie
Graeme Shinnie is reportedly a target for English League One leaders Luton Town with a move to Rangers currently ruled out – but the Teddy Bears desperately need the Aberdeen skipper.
The 27-year-old has been a consistent member of Aberdeen’s side, clocking up 41 league and cup appearances. He has scored four goals and four assists, but his contract is set to expire at the end of the season.
The hard-working central midfielder is likely to be on the lookout for a new club, and t in luring Shinnie to Kenilworth Road with Championship promotion on the horizon.
The same report states that Rangers have been ruled out as a potential suitor for Shinnie. The four-time Scotland international does not want to move to Ibrox, as confirmed by the player’s agent.

But his steel and intelligence as a shield in front of the Dons defence would be perfect for the Gers. Ryan Jack has impressed going forward while Glen Kamara is known more for his passing.
Ross McCrorie is arguably Steven Gerrard’s best option at the base of the midfield. But he is still young and raw. Shinnie would be the perfect addition, with 288 Scottish Premiership appearances under his belt.
Despite Shinnie looking elsewhere than Rangers, the Teddy Bears need to make Shinnie an offer they cannot refuse. With no disrespect to Luton, losing to the third-tier English side will be embarrassing.
Not only that, but it will see the Gers lose out on a player that would see them close the gap between themselves and Celtic.
