Ovie Ejaria is impressing on loan at Reading after a disappointing spell with Rangers during the first half of the 2018-19 campaign – and Rangers goalkeeper Andy Firth has congratulated the Liverpool loanee on Instagram.
The 21-year-old rejoined Reading on loan in the summer for the 2019-20 campaign, after signing on a temporary basis in January following his Rangers exit. Ejaria decided to cut short his Rangers spell after failing to impress under Steven Gerrard.

He has since starred at the Madjeski Stadium for Reading. The England youth international took his tally to three goals for the season on Saturday afternoon, as The Royals eased past newly-promoted Championship side Luton Town with a 3-0 win.
Cutting inside from the left flank, Ejaria curled an excellent effort into the far corner from all of 20 yards to give Reading a 2-0 lead. He posted on Instagram after the match, including pictures of him celebrating his goal.

Ejaria did clock up 28 appearances for Rangers and scored a crucial goal in The Gers win over FC Ufa in the Europa League qualifying stages. However, he failed to live up to expectation.
Firth is currently acting as Rangers’ third-choice goalkeeper behind Wes Foderingham and Allan McGregor – but played alongside Ejaria at Liverpool during his youth. He applauded Ejaria on Instagram, commenting on the midfielder’s post.
