Rangers star Alfredo Morelos’ ill-discipline will surely cost him a dream move to Borussia Dortmund
Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos lasted just 31 minutes in the Old Firm derby before he was sent off. Morelos was involved in an altercation with Scott Brown, where he threw his elbow towards the Celtic captain.
The Colombia international was shown a straight red card, which is his fifth of the season. Ill-discipline is a major weakness in Morelos’ game; one that will hold back his progress unless he addresses it as soon as possible.
It was too easy for Brown to antagonise Morelos. The Scotsman tripped Morelos and got the rise he was intending when the Rangers forward lashed out.
Five red cards in one season is proof that there is a serious problem. Morelos might have scored 29 goals for the Gers but he is a liability.

Earlier this year, the 22-year-old was linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund (). The chance to play for the German heavyweights was surely a dream move for Morelos.
But why would Borussia Dortmund take a punt on Morelos now? They would be better advised to look at other strikers with similar goal scoring exploits but without the disciplinary issues.
Morelos’ temper could cost him a dream move to a top European club and Rangers might struggle to attract bids that match their £20m demand ().
