Nice ready £8m Morelos bid

French side OGC Nice are reportedly preparing an £8m bid for Alfredo Morelos, .

The Colombia international has scored 20 goals this season and is unsurprisingly attracting attention.

But Rangers are hoping to resist any bids from Nice, who see the 22-year-old as their replacement for want-away striker Mario Balotelli.

Gerrard denies Powell chase

Contrary to reports, Steven Gerrard has denied that Rangers are interested in signing Nick Powell, .

The 24-year-old is out of contract at the end of this season and will be available to leave Wigan Athletic on a free, sparking speculation that Rangers are preparing a pre-contract offer.

When quizzed about the Gers’ reported interest in the ex-Manchester United midfielder, : “It’s the first I’ve heard of it.”

Maddison fuels speculation

Peterborough United midfielder Marcus Maddison has got Rangers fans talking with his comments on social media.

, the 25-year-old was asked if he fancied joining Rangers. His response was: “Out of all the Scottish teams, Rangers would be my 1st choice definitely.”

Maddison is a left-footed playmaker, who has picked up 16 assists in 29 games this season.
