Rangers reportedly set to let four senior players leave including Graham Dorrans and Jason Holt

It seems four senior Rangers players are on their way out of the club after being left at home for the club’s pre-season training trip to Portugal, . Two of the names on the list will not come as a surprise.

Eros Grezda has struggled to have an impact at Ibrox since his move from Osijek and reports of his exit have long been in the air.

Kyle Lafferty is a similar story. Also brought in last summer, he has struggled in his second stint at Rangers and Steven Gerrard seemingly gave up on him toward the end of the season.

The other two names on the list might be slightly more surprising, although, again, Rangers fans are unlikely to be up in arms.

Holt spent last season on loan at Joey Barton’s Fleetwood Town and had a productive season in League One.

Indeed, last month that Holt was set to get another chance at Rangers once he recovered from a knee injury. That does not seem to be the case now.

Dorrans was signed by Pedro Caixinha and loves his boyhood club. Unfortunately, injury problems have decimated his Ibrox stint so far. He is likely to be one of the bigger earners at Ibrox and played just three times last season.

Rangers are right to clear the deck of deadwood as they continue to close the gap on local rivals Celtic.

Hopefully, Rangers can find buyers for the quartet quickly as they look to continue improving throughout the squad.
