Rangers player is so good it’s ‘disgusting’, has a ‘big future’ – Leon Balogun

Glasgow Rangers ace Leon Balogun has waxed lyrical about Ibrox teammate Joe Aribo.

The Gers defender says Aribo is “a joy to watch” and thinks he will have a “big future” for club and country.

Rangers signed the 24-year-old in the summer of 2019, snapping him up from Charlton.

Aribo reportedly cost the Ibrox side £300,000 because of cross-border transfer rules.

It has proven a bargain for Rangers as the midfielder has already registered 17 goals and 15 assists from 91 appearances.

Aribo made 42 appearances last season, including 25 in the Scottish Premiership en route to the title.

He has also made his international breakthrough, winning seven caps with Nigeria.

Rangers have a player so good he’s “disgusting”

Balogun, his club and international teammate, thinks he can go far in his career.

“I know you like to say ‘baller fam’, but he’s a baller, he’s a joy to watch,” Balogun told the Beautiful Game .

“His technique, his finesse, he’s just smooth bro. Seriously, he’s so good.

“Good finishing, good passing, one vs one he’s so good man, disgusting.

“I face him in training sometimes, he definitely had me on skates, I remember one time he megged me and went past and I just raised my legs.

“Joe, he’s quality seriously, as well with the Super Eagles, he’ll have a big future.

“Recently he’s played as a six, but he could play more in our system as a 10.

“In that Brazil game, I think that was his first game, baller.”
