Rangers loanee Zak Rudden reacts to first Plymouth goal; fans respond

Zak Rudden and a number of fans have taken to Twitter to comment after the Rangers loanee scored his first goal for Plymouth Argyle in his ninth appearance for the club.

It has been an underwhelming start to life with the League Two club for the 19-year-old. He has, so far, made one league start, and went into Tuesday’s Leasing.com Trophy clash with Swindon still awaiting his first goal.

But the drought ended inside 15 minutes at the County Ground. Rudden produced an excellent header at the back post to nod the ball back across the Robins goalkeeper to put Argyle 1-0 up.

Ryan Lowe’s men would go on to win 3-0 to move top of their group. And Rudden’s relief was clear after the game as he posted a two-word tweet in reaction to his goal.

And the teenager would have received a big boost in confidence following the response that he received on social media. Plenty of Plymouth fans were clearly delighted for the Gers man.

Several suggested that they hoped that it would provide the lift that Rudden needed. Meanwhile, others have implored Lowe to keep the striker in the starting lineup when they return to League Two action this weekend.

Here is Rudden’s tweet as well as the responses from some of the supporters…
