Rangers have an ‘unbelievable’ midfielder in their ranks who never stops in training, says compatriot
Glasgow Rangers midfielder Steven Davis has been praised by compatriot Ali McCann for his “unbelievable” form for Steven Gerrard’s charges at Ibrox this season.
The 36-year-old’s place in the Rangers history books has been assured thanks to his incredible service for the Ibrox club.
Likewise, Davis has also written his name in Northern Ireland folklore by becoming their record appearance holder with 124 caps.

The boyhood Bear is likely to add to his tally in the coming years, and McCann is eager to learn as much as he can from the national captain.
“He doesn’t look like hanging up the boots anytime,” the St Johnstone midfielder told the . “Steven is brilliant, he conducts himself so well day to day.
“He’s in great nick and every training session he is ‘at it’. You look at him and the senior players and they have had good careers for a reason so you try and pick up pointers when you can.
“He’s been unbelievable this season for Rangers. They’ve blown everyone away in the league and obviously were crowned champions a few weeks ago.
“He’s been one of their best players and he’s a great professional.
“You see that every day in training when I’m with the Northern Ireland squad and if you can take away pointers from someone like him, it can only be good for me as well.”

There can’t really be much added to what Davis’ peers have said about him – he is a superb player and professional, and both Rangers and Northern Ireland are lucky to have him.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see him play for a few more years, much like Jermain Defoe – and hopefully he’ll be able to help Rangers to more silverware this season and beyond.
