Rangers have a ‘wonderful passer of the ball’ in their ranks, according to his country’s media
Glasgow Rangers star Steven Davis has earned rave reviews in the Northern Irish media after the Ibrox ace shone for his country in last night’s World Cup qualifier.
The 36-year-old has written his name in both Rangers and Northern Ireland folklore, becoming his nation’s record appearance holder with 125 caps.
Indeed, Davis will break the British caps record set by England legend Peter Shilton if he faces the United States on Sunday.

The Ibrox midfielder captained Northern Ireland in Thursday night’s meeting with Italy at the Ennio Tardini Stadium.
Although they were beaten 2-0 by the four-time world champions, Davis did well, making 54 passes – the most in his team – as well as having a shot on target and making a key pass.
The gave him 7 out of 10 and wrote: “Special night for the Roger Federer of football and he was more influential in second half. A wonderful passer of the ball.”
gave him the same score and wrote: “Captain hardly put a foot wrong as he equalled Peter Shilton’s British record of 125 caps.”

There can’t really be much added to what has routinely been said about Davis.
He is a superb player and professional who’s had a superb career and is showing no signs of stopping – both Rangers and Northern Ireland are lucky to have him.
