Rangers fans want Ibrox star to come in for Gerrard favourite from now on, as latter struggles tonight
James Tavernier was one of a number of Rangers players to struggle on Wednesday – and Gers fans want Nathan Patterson to start more regularly.
Tavernier, 29, continued in the starting line-up with the armband as Steven Gerrard looked to help his side maintain their lead at the top of the table.
But it was a frustrating night for the Gers, who eventually secured a late point thanks to a penalty from Tavernier. But he was poor throughout.
Cristian Ramirez opened the scoring, who got on the end of a dinked ball from Ryan Hedges. Scott Brown, of course, scored the second.
The Celtic icon got on the end of a corner from Dylan McGeouch. He headed into the back of the net with a diving effort. But Rangers came back.
A lovely ball into the box from Tavernier found Alfredo Morelos, who netted his second goal in two games – after his 100th on the weekend.
The scoreline remained the until the final 10 minutes – until Tavernier netted a penalty. But fans were not impressed with his display.

What are Rangers fans saying about Tavernier, and Patterson?
Patterson, 20, was left on the bench throughout the game – remaining an unused substitute during the 2-2 draw at Ibrox.
The Scotland international has only played five times this season for Rangers – Gerrard continuing to place his faith in Tavernier on the right.
But Rangers fans want a change after Wednesday night, urging Gerrard to pick Patterson over Tavernier for the next few games.
