Rangers fans stunned by something Ibrox star did during second half

Rangers returned to the top of the Scottish Premiership table with a 2-1 win over Hibernian – and Gers fans were amazed by Nathan Patterson’s cross.

Patterson, who turns 20 later this month, was handed his 20th appearance at senior level for Rangers on Sunday as the Gers took on Hibs at Ibrox.

The Scotland international was solid throughout, but it was Hibs that took the lead through Kevin Nisbest. Ryan Porteous was sent off on 30 minutes.

The Gers struggled to break down Hibs, until Patterson picked the ball up on the right and had time and space to deliver a perfect cross.

The right-back floated a curling effort right on to Kemar Roofe’s head, making it easy for the ex-Leeds star to score his sixth goal in 11 games.

The winner came on 78 minutes, when Croatia international found Alfredo Morelos who headed home, squeezing an effort past Matt Macey.

It was a brilliant win for Rangers, which sees them top. That is, despite Rangers still far from their best – which saw them go unbeaten last term.

Patterson cross v Hibernian: Rangers fans amazed on Twitter

Patterson is in a tricky situation. Does he stay at Rangers, and wait to finally overtake James Tavernier – feeding off scraps in the meantime?

Or does he leave to join a side in need of a right-back? Everton certainly need one, and were linked with the Scotland international in the summer.

At full-time, he might have answered those doubts – celebrating with huge joy at full-time. Rangers fans loved his passion after the whistle.

But they also loved his cross which got the ball rolling for Rangers. Many believe they have a real talent on their hands in the form of Patterson.
