Rangers fans reply to Greg Docherty on Twitter after latest goal

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to reply to Greg Docherty after the midfielder scored another goal out on loan on Friday night.

Steven Gerrard decided to let Docherty leave Ibrox during the January transfer window. At the time, it appeared to be a move that made a lot of sense with Docherty not featuring for the Gers since August.

However, he has clearly left some Rangers supporters wondering if the club made a mistake.

The 23-year-old went into Hibernian’s tie with Inverness Caledonian Thistle having already provided two goals and a handful of assists for Jack Ross’s side in all competitions.

And he produced the goods once again as Hibs booked their place in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup at Easter Road. The home side ran out 5-2 winners, with Docherty scoring one and providing another assist.

The goal was well-taken towards the latter stages of the second-half.

And after Docherty took to social media to express his delight at the win, a number of the Ibrox faithful responded with messages of support.

Some have criticised the decision to let him leave in January. Meanwhile, others have suggested that they cannot wait for his return in the summer. They clearly expect Gerrard to include Docherty in his plans when he comes back.
