A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to react to comments made by Steven Gerrard, , concerning Ross McCrorie’s Ibrox future.
McCrorie has been linked with a move away from the Gers for a little while. that Rangers had rejected a bid from Hibernian for the 22-year-old.

That report claimed that Hibs may be priced out of a move for McCrorie. But Gerrard has suggested that discussions between the two Scottish Premiership sides are continuing.
Interestingly, Gerrard – who also commented on the future of Greg Docherty – insisted that McCrorie will not be loaned out this summer having previously left Ibrox temporarily.

“We have had some interest from Hibs in Ross McCrorie. Those talks are ongoing. But Ross and Greg will not be going on loan. They have been on two loans. They have done that road,” he said, .
“If we get bids that we like, that are good enough and big enough, we will consider them. But they won’t be going on loan.”
Of course, many Rangers fans are now expecting McCrorie to seal a permanent exit this summer. It does appear that several cannot see the youngster still being a part of Gerrard’s squad beyond the window.
But the general feeling appears to be a sense that, unfortunately, it is probably the right decision from the manager.
McCrorie remains a popular figure amongst the supporters. However, they have their concerns about whether he will be good enough to realise the potential that he showed during his initial run in the first-team.
Rangers boast a lot of depth in the areas McCrorie is challenging for. And they are willing to accept that he would probably be better off moving on during this window.
Here is how some of the fans have reacted to Gerrard’s comments…
Gerrard confirming McCrorie will not be loaned again
A young player with a lot of potential but hasn’t really improved a lot in 3 years
Just my opinion but I’m not surprised by this although I am disappointed for him

If SG believes in this kid but he isn’t ready we structure the deal in this way. Hibs buy him just now for a decent enough fee and we insert a future buy back clause. Common in the game now and a no brainer for me.

I think we feel gutted because as you say he actually hasn’t shown anything apart from liking a tackle, the team has improved massively since he featured frequently he isn’t close to the level required so makes sense

At this stage of there careers seems the best for both

I like MCCRORIE but what people need to ask themselves is what position would be play.
Cause he’s 6th or 7th choice cm and Gerrard looking to bring in another CM
6th or 7th choice CB
3rd choice RB

Specially mccrorie he could well be a player and will be.. basically victims of success.— Wilson (@peterjw1982)
On Ross McCrorie. I recall 2/3 games he looked good. In one Old Firm he played well. That’s it. Not sure what people have created in their minds. 🤔

Would hate to see McCrorie at a club like hibs but he’s 22 now and good enough to be playing 90 minutes just sadly not at Rangers
