Rangers extended their unbeaten run to 17 games in the Scottish Premiership with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Dundee United at Tannadice Park.
Steven Gerrard’s side have moved to 47 points courstey of James Tavernier and Conor Goldson’s goals, which came either side of Liam Smith’s equaliser for the hosts.

Tavernier took his tally to 17 for the season with a stunning free-kick from all of 35 yards, but Dundee hit back through Smith only minutes later.
Tavernier then turned provided for the Light Blues, delivering a a free-kick for Goldson to glance his header in for his sixth of the campaign.
Rangers were somewhat wasteful, but will be delighted just to get the three points given the stubbornness of the opponent and the condition of the pitch.
It is now 27 in all competitions without defeat, and confidence will be absolutely surging.
A lot of the talk after the game was, quite rightly, about Tavernier and his sublime goal, but midfielder Steven Davis also came in for a fair bit of praise.

, he completed an extremely impressive 106 passes today for an accuracy of 85% and also one clearance, one block and three interceptions.
His contributions prompted a great response from some Rangers fans on Twitter, who lauded the maestro:

What a gritty performance in Dundee today. Gers faced a very determined opponent and worked their set pieces to perfection to secure the victory. Tavernier and Goldson were top class. Roofe deserved to get in on the scoring. Davis was a machine in the midfield.
