Rangers fans react to Kemar Roofe display in Aberdeen victory

Rangers wrapped up the league season with an impressive 4-0 victory at home to Aberdeen on Saturday afternoon – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter hailed their attacker Kemar Roofe for his individual display.

Steven Gerrard’s side secured a comfortable win at Ibrox to ensure they finish the entire league campaign without defeat.

It’s been a remarkable season where Rangers have dethroned rivals Celtic to win the Scottish Premiership title, and the unbeaten nature shows how dominant they’ve been.

Joe Lewis’s fifth minute own goal opened the scoring at the weekend, before forward Roofe scored two goals. There was also time late on for substitute Jermain Defoe to get on the scoresheet.

Roofe, 28, netted a brace against Aberdeen to wrap up a brilliant first year at Ibrox.

The forward has had a stop-start time due to injuries, but ultimately he’s ended up with an impressive tally of 18 goals in 36 games across all competitions this season.

A selection of Rangers supporters on social media applauded the striker after his display on the final day.

If he can avoid injuries next year like the problems he’s had this season, he’s shown he’s a goal machine that can be a vital player at Ibrox on the pitch.

Here are some Gers fans raving about Roofe:
