Rangers fans react on Twitter to Steven Davis’ display

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Steven Davis’s performance as the Gers extended their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.

Steven Gerrard’s side beat Aberdeen 2-1. Alfredo Morelos scored twice for Rangers after James Tavernier left everyone stunned by missing a penalty during the first-half.

It was another important win for the Gers. And it appears that it was another superb performance from Davis in the middle of the park.

, the Northern Irishman completed 122 successful passes during the game. Remarkably, that was 22 more passes than the home side managed between them throughout the entire game.

He also completed four successful tackles. That was at least twice as many as any of his Rangers teammates managed.

It is incredible to think that Davis – who earns £12,000-a-week, – turned 36 at the start of the month. There looks to be no reason why he cannot continue to be a key player at Ibrox for a while yet.

In fact, plenty of fans on social media have lauded the midfielder. Some have insisted that he is the best player in the Scottish Premiership.

It is clear that several believe that he is continuing to set the standards for Gerrard’s side as they continue to keep reeling off wins.
